Bocconcini are cherry-sized mozzarella cheese. They are often used in tomato and basil salads and pasta or Italian biscuits.
Ingredients
For 2 people

450g Bocconcini
450g ground beef
70g breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 tsp of Cajun powder
75 ml of barbecue sauce
60 ml of apple sauce
1 pinch of lemon zest
Salt, pepper
Directions
Step 1 Put bocconcini in the basket to drain.
Step 2 Put beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Cajun powder, a little salt and pepper in a bowl, mix well.
Step 3 Preheat the oven to 250°C.
Step 4 Wrap a layer of meat on the outside of each bocconcini. Then, place in a foil tray and bake for 8 minutes.
Step 5 Mix well the barbecue sauce with apple sauce and lemon zest, heated if you like.
Step 6 Drizzle the sauce over the grilled meatballs and enjoy.
